In this beginners class you will learn about basic watercolor tools & materials, basic understanding of color mixing & setting up your paint palette, painting basic shapes as warm-ups. Learn to paint a 5-petal flower using watercolor techniques such as wet on dry, wet on wet, layering and more. You will also learn ideal brush strokes needed to paint petals and leaves to paint Cherry Blossoms, Hydrangea, Pansies, Sunflower and Rose. At the end of the class, you will be able to apply the techniques learnt in class to paint more variety of loose florals.

Farah Bidin is a self-taught artist, educator and founder of Paintstobrushes who live in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. She started her creative journey on calligraphy. Her inspiration hugely inspired by nature and botanicals and the fact that watercolour allows her to capture the freshness of the blooms still blows her mind.
