Aug 28 : Painting Monochrome Landscapes

In this class, you will learn how to understand painting tones by painting monochrome studies ie landscapes. Monochrome means mono (one), chrome (color): one color. Painters often used Burnt Sienna, a gentle brown color or Prussian Blue, a darker blue color. I consider it an essential and very enjoyable aspect of learning to paint. It also helps the development of fine painting skills. This class subject will focus on painting a Greenery Landscape. This class is suitable for beginners as we will also be covering basic color mixing and painting techniques to be applied when painting our monochromatic landscapes.

Farah Bidin is a self-taught artist, educator and founder of Paintstobrushes who live in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. She started her creative journey on calligraphy. Her inspiration hugely inspired by nature and botanicals and the fact that watercolour allows her to capture the freshness of the blooms still blows her mind.
